ST. MARYS POLICE ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE CASE OF THE GUN THAT WAS SHOT AT A HOUSE.  THE ALLEGED INCIDENT ACTUALLY HAPPENED LAST WEEK AT A HOME ON TREMONT STREET WHEN POLICE FOUND THAT A BULLET HAD STRUCK A HOUSE THERE.  THEY WEREN’T ABLE TO COME UP WITH A DIFINITIVE ANSWER AS TO WHERE IT CAME FROM OR WHO MIGHT HAVE SHOT THE BULLET.  ANYONE WITH INFORMATION IS ASKED TO CALL POLICE. 

 

ST. MARYS POLICE ALSO TELL US OF A STRUGGLE WITH A MAN THEY ALLEGE WAS UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF BATH SALTS.  THE INCIDENT HAPPENED YESTERDAY ABOUT 1:30 WHEN 24-YEAR KEVIN ECKENROAD FOUGHT WITH OFFICERS THAT ARRIVED ON SCENE WHEN HE ABANDONED HIS TRUCK. HE’S BEEN TAGGED WITH A NUMBER OF CHARGES AND FACES A PRELIMINARY HEARING JUNE 2ND IN COURT. 

 

A WARREN COUNTY MAN IS FACING SEXUAL ABUSE CHARGES STEMMING FROM AN INCIDENT EARLIER THIS MONTH.  WARREN STATE POLICE SAY 66-YEAR OLD FRANK WILLIAMS OF WARREN IS ACCUSED OF SEXUALLY ASSAULTING A 5 YEAR OLD BOY THAT WAS AT HIS HOUSE ON MAY 11TH.  WILLIAMS IS IN WARREN COUNTY JAIL AWAITING A PRELIMINARY HEARING. 

 

A FIRE IN DAGUSCAHONDA DESTROYS AN UN-OCCUPIED HOME YESTERDAY.  THE STATE POLICE FIRE MARSHAL SAYS THE FIRE BROKE OUT ABOUT 9:10 LAST NIGHT ON EAST MILL STREET AND QUICKLY SPREAD THROUGHOUT THE STRUCTURE THAT IS OWNED BY 43-YEAR OLD ROBERT LILLEY OF RIDGWAY.  LILLEY WAS APPARENTLY BURNING BRUSH NEAR THE STRUCTURE WHEN THE FIRE SPREAD.  HE’S BEEN CHARGED WITH DANGEROUS BURNING.

Vandalism in Ridgway

Recently, somebody decided it was a good idea to spray a derogatory remark on the Ridgway Train Depot in downtown Ridgway. No doubt, it's somebody with too much time on their hands and not enough sense to know it's wrong. If you know who did this despicable act, you're asked to call local law enforcement. There is a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the responsible person or persons.
