MCKEAN COUNTY TEEN KILLED IN FOREST COUNTY CRASH

MORE INFORMATION IS KNOWN ABOUT THE FATAL 3-VEHICLE ACCIDENT SUNDAY AFTERNOON IN JENKS TOWNSHIP, FOREST COUNTY.  OFFICIALS SAY 18-YEAR-OLD JOSIAH WHITNEY, OF PORT ALLEGANY, STRUCK A 2ND VEHICLE AHEAD THAT WAS STOPPED ON ROUTE 66, WAITING TO TURN.  THE COLLISION THEN FORCED WHITNEY’S VEHICLE INTO THE PATH OF A 3RD VEHICLE, A PICKUP THAT WAS PULLING A TRAILER.  THE 2ND COLLISION CAUSED FATAL INJURIES TO WHITNEY, WHO WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE.  THE OCCUPANTS OF THE 2 OTHER VEHICLES WERE SAID TO BE OK, BUT TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL OUT OF PRECAUTION.  THE INVESTIGATION INTO THE INCIDENT IS STILL ONGOING.
