JEFFERSON COUNTY MAN CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

A JEFFERSON COUNTY MAN IS FACING NUMEROUS FELONY CHARGES STEMMING FROM HIS ARREST BACK ON OCTOBER 1ST.  POLICE SAY THEY WERE TRYING TO ARREST 39-YEAR OLD JOSEPH BYLER, OF PUNXSUTAWNEY, ON A DOMESTIC RELATIONS WARRANT.  WHEN POLICE ATTEMPTED TO TAKE HIM INTO CUSTODY, HE ALLEGEDLY RESISTED WITH FORCE, CAUSING THE OFFICERS TO USE NECESSARY FORCE IN RETURN TO SUBDUE HIM.  THE OFFICERS SUFFERED MINOR INJURIES IN THE INCIDENT.  BYLER IS CHARGED WITH AGGRAVAGED ASSAULT AND IS DUE IN COURT NEXT MONTH.
