WARREN CITY RESIDENTS COMPLAIN ABOUT CAMPAIGN FLAGS

SOME RESIDENTS IN WARREN COUNTY ARE OBJECTING TO SOME CAMPAIGN FLAGS AND SIGNS IN THE CITY.  OFFICIALS SAY THEY’VE RECEIVED NUMEROUS CALLS ABOUT FLAGS, IN PARTICULAR, THAT SUPPORT PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP AND CONTAIN PROFANE LANGUAGE.  CITY MANAGER NANCY FREENOCK SAYS THE RESIDENTS ARE PROTECTED BY THE FIRST AMENDMENT AND THAT CITY CANNOT FORCE THE RESIDENTS TO REMOVE THE FLAGS UNLESS THEY CALL FOR SPECIFIC NEGATIVE ACTIONS TO TAKE PLACE, SUCH AS RIOTS.
