DRUG DELIVERY RESULTING IN DEATH SENTENCE IN CLARION COUNTY

ATTORNEY GENERAL JOSH SHAPIRO ANNOUNCED FRIDAY THAT 42-YEAR OLD ELVA WARNER-CONFER OF CLARION WAS GIVEN A 9 TO 18 YEAR SENTENCE FOR HER PART IN THE DEATH OF 35-YEAR OLD DONALD BROWN IN 2016.  WARNER-CONFER WAS CONVICTED IN JUNE OF DRUG DELIVERY RESULTING IN DEATH.  ACCORDING TO COURT RECORDS, SHE WAS ACCUSED OF DELIVERING FENTANYL PATCHES TO BROWN.  A CO-DEFENDANT, 58-YEAR OLD JENNIFER BEST OF SHIPPENVILLE, PLED GUILTY TO SIMILAR CHARGES JUNE 20TH.  SHE REPORTEDLY SOLD THE PATCHES TO WARNER-CONFER.
