2 HURT IN SUNDAY ACCIDENTS

2 PEOPLE ARE IN THE HOSPITAL TODAY AS THE RESULT OF 2 SEPARATE CLEARFIELD COUNTY ACCIDENTS ON SUNDAY.  CLEARFIELD STATE POLICE TELL US THE FIRST HAPPENED ABOUT 9:35 ON ZION ROAD IN KNOX TOWNSHIP WHEN 34-YEAR OLD AMANDA GEARHART OF MADERA LOST CONTROL OF HER JEEP AND STRUCK A RETAINING WALL, WHICH CAUSED HER VEHICLE TO OVERTURN.  SHE WAS FLOWN TO UPMC ALTOONA FOR TREATMENT. 

 

THE 2ND ACCIDENT HAPPENED JUST BEFORE 1 SUNDAY AFTERNOON WHEN 59-YEAR OLD JOSEPH AMRO OF INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA LOST CONTROL OF HIS VEHICLE ON INTERSTATE 80, WESTBOUND NEAR MILE MARKER 80.8 AND STRUCK A GUIDERAIL, THEN LANDED IN THE MEDIAN.  AMRO WAS ALSO FLOWN TO UPMC ALTOONA FOR TREATMENT.
