ELECTION RESULTS

IT’S 4 MORE YEARS FOR GOVERNOR TOM WOLF IN HARRISBURG.  THE INCUMBENT DEMOCRAT HANDILY DEFEATED REPUBLICAN CHALLEGER SCOTT WAGNER IN YESTERDAY’S GENERAL ELECTION GATHERING ALMOST 60 PERCENT OF THE VOTE.  WOLF WILL ALSO HAVE A NEW LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR AS WELL.  JAMES FETTERMAN WAS ELECTED TO SERVE TO REPLACE MIKE STACK. 

 

THE SAME TYPE OF VICTORY IS BEING ENJOYED BY DEMOCRATIC US SENATOR BOB CASEY, JUNIOR TODAY.  CASEY DEFEATED REPBUBLICAN LOU BARLETTA BY A LARGE MARGIN AS WELL.  BOTH THE GOVERNOR AND SENATE RACES WERE CALLED SHORTLY AFTER POLLS CLOSED LAST NIGHT. 

 

ON THE REPRESENTATIVE LEVEL, REPUBLICAN GLENN GT THOMPSON RETAINED HIS SEAT IN WASHINGTON, DEFEATING SUSAN BOSER BY A LARGE MARGIN.  ALSO, STATE REPRESENTATIVE MARTIN CAUSER GOT A WHOPPING 77 PERCENT OF THE VOTES TO RETAIN HIS SEAT FOR THE 67TH DISTRICT.  REPUBLICANS KATHY RAPP AND MATT GABLER RAN UNOPPOSED IN THEIR RACES FOR THE STATE HOUSE.
