PUNXSY WOMAN HURT IN CRASH

A PUNXSUTAWNEY WOMAN IS RECOVERING FROM INJURIES SHE SUSTAINED IN A 2-VEHICLE ACCIDENT LAST WEEK IN JEFFERSON COUNTY.  DUBOIS STATE POLICE SAY IT HAPPENED ABOUT 4:40 LAST THURSDAY AFTERNOON ON EAST MAIN STREET IN SYKESVILLE BOROUGH WHEN A CARE DRIVEN BY 21-YEAR OLD ABBIE SMITH OF NICKTOWN CROSSED THE CENTER LINE AND STRUCK AN SUV DRIVEN BY 46-YEAR OLD MELANIE VORIS OF PUNXSUTAWNEY.  VORIS SUFFERED INJURIES SERIOUS ENOUGH TO BE FLOWN TO UPMC ALTOONA FOR TREATMENT.
