COVID-19 NEWS UPDATE 3/25

THE FIRST CASE OF CORONAVIRUS IN WARREN COUNTY HAS BEEN CONFIRMED TODAY.  OFFICIALS WITH WARREN GENERAL HOSPITAL SAY THE PATIENT CAME TO THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT EARLIER THIS WEEK AND IS CURRENTLY HOME, QUARANTINED AND BEING TREATED. 

 

THE FIRST CASE HAS ALSO BEEN CONFIRMED IN INDIANA COUNTY THIS AFTERNOON.  NO DETAILS ARE KNOWN ABOUT THIS PATIENT EXCEPT THAT THEY HAVE BEEN QUARANTINED SINCE MARCH 16TH AND HAS NOT REQUIRED HOSPITALIZATION.  THESE ARE 2 OF 276 NEW CASES CONFIRMED IN PENNSYLVANIA TODAY.   THE TOTAL POSITIVE TEST RESULTS IN THE STATE IS NOW OVER 11 HUNDRED.   11 FATALITIES ARE CONFIRMED IN THE REPORT AS WELL. 

 

GOVERNOR TOM WOLF HAS ADDED ERIE COUNTY TO THE STAY AT HOME LIST.  THE ORDER REQUIRES RESIDENTS TO STAY AT HOME UNLESS THEY ARE LEAVING THEIR HOMES FOR ESSENTIAL NEEDS.  ERIE JOINS ALLEGHENY, BUCKS, CHESTER, DELAWARE, MONROE, MONTGOMERY AND PHILADELPHIA ON THAT LIST.
