3 HURT IN JEFFERSON COUNTY ACCIDENT

3 ARE RECOVERING TODAY FOLLOWING A 2-VEHICLE CRASH SUNDAY AFTERNOON ACCIDENT IN JEFFERSON COUNTY.  PUNXSUTAWNEY STATE POLICE TELL US IT HAPPENED ABOUT 4:15 ON ROUTE 119 JUST WEST OF SMYERS STREET IN BIG RUN BOROUGH WHEN A 17-YEAR OLD TEEN FEMALE LOST CONTROL OF HER CAR, CAUSING IT TO CROSS OVER THE CENTER LINE AND STRIKE AN SUV HEAD-ON, DRIVEN BY 52-YEAR OLD MELISSA RUBBA OF PUNXSUTAWNEY.  RUBBA AND A PASSENGER WERE TAKEN TO PUNXSY HOSPITAL FOR TREATMENT OF UNSPECIFIED INJURIES.  THE 17-YEAR OLD REFUSED TREATMENT AT THE SCENE.
