The Elk County Council on the Arts has a new artist jury session scheduled for March 20, 2018. Artist submissions for the jury session are being accepted now. The U.S. Army has released a new program for college freshmen and sophomores interested in military service and want to complete their degree. The program is a summer camp where students spend five weeks training and learning about the military culture, and then complete the program through a host ROTC school during the academic school year. Upon graduation the students earn a commission as an Army Officer. Edinboro University and Allegheny College are two of the select schools that are eligible to offer this program.
